Jason Sleeth

Chief Executive Officer

Jason is currently a Managing Director at Canaccord Genuity and has previously held senior roles at News Corp., Merrill Lynch and Bank of Nova Scotia. He has helped finance over $2 billion for growth-oriented businesses and prides himself in assisting quality Canadian companies to achieve their goals in complex environments while driving towards a higher regulatory standard. Similarly, Jason is highly focused on helping both retail and institutional investors achieve better outcomes through new technologies and process efficiencies while collaborating with multiple industry stakeholders. Jason holds both an HBA and MBA from the Ivey School of Business with international work experience across marketing, manufacturing, merchant banking, institutional sales, trading, and deal origination.

Richard Rohan

President

Possessing broad finance experience spanning across Ireland, Bermuda, USA, and Canada, Richard has served as a key contributor and thought leader on diverse initiatives, including M&A, brand development, customer engagement, international business expansion strategies, and rapid organizational scaling. Richard has prior experience in derivative trading operations and formerly served as a Partner at a buy-side investment firm. During his current tenure at the TMX Group, he serves as Chief Growth Officer of TSX Trust (an OSFI regulated entity and TMX Group company) and is a vital member of the Capital Formation Group's senior management team that oversees the TSX and TSX Venture markets.

Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer

Joya brings more than 20 years of executive, regulatory and operational experience to Markette as Chief Operating Officer. With a proven track record of optimizing processes, implementing efficient systems, and driving organizational growth, she plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and strategic execution. Prior to joining Markette Ventures, she held key positions in several financial institutions where she spearheaded initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, streamline workflows, and mitigate risk. Her expertise in financial management, technology integration, and regulatory compliance enables Markette to navigate complex challenges and capitalize on emerging opportunities in today’s dynamic market. Her dedication to delivering exceptional client experiences and driving sustainable growth underscores Markette’s commitment to exceeding expectations and achieving long-term success.

Florin Brinzan

Chief Technology Officer

Florin brings more than 20 years of experience delivering technology innovation across global capital markets. He has built a career at the intersection of business and technology, holding senior roles as a solution architect, quantitative analyst, and technology consultant with leading financial institutions including BMO Capital Markets, CIBC Capital Markets, Scotiabank, TD Securities, and CPP Investments. Florin has deep expertise in electronic trading, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives, with a proven track record of designing and implementing high-performance platforms that drive business growth and operational efficiency. Alongside his work in major financial institutions, Florin has pursued entrepreneurial initiatives, giving him a unique perspective on building technology solutions that balance innovation with practical business needs. This experience enriches his ability to scale Markette’s platforms with both agility and discipline, ensuring secure, scalable, and client-focused solutions.

Tim McKenzie

VP of Business Development

With over a decade of capital markets and investment management experience spanning Canada, UK and Australia, Tim leverages his extensive experience to help companies navigate raising capital via Markette Ventures. His primary focus is growing both the sell and buy side networks that support the Markette ecosystem. Prior to joining Markette Ventures, Tim was a Director at TMX Group in Toronto focusing on building and growing the private capital markets business. Previously, Tim spent time at a big five Canadian financial institution and at a leading global investment management firm in London, UK.

Caroline Tomei

Relationship Manager

Caroline brings over five years of progressive experience in the Canadian capital markets, having held a variety of client-facing and operational roles throughout her career. At Markette, she supports clients and their investors throughout the entire deal lifecycle, delivering exceptional service and informed guidance. In addition to managing our clients, Caroline assists with business development initiatives, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to help drive growth and deepen relationships. Prior to joining Markette, Caroline served as a Client Success Specialist at TMX Group in Toronto, where she supported sales efforts and delivered tailored service to clients within the private capital markets business line. Caroline’s deep expertise in facilitating non-brokered private placements continues to be an asset to the issuers, investors, and advisors apart of the Markette ecosystem.
